The Goldenes Schwert is a gay-friendly modern hotel situated in the heart of Zurichs old town- within 500 meters of the Lake and Fraumunster Church. There are 22 guestrooms over three floors- individually decorated in bright colors and modern furnishings- and all of which include cable television- minibars- safes- wireless Internet- and bathrooms with hairdryers. Breakfast is available in the mornings and the hotel bar- Pigalle- serves drinks and snacks and features a mosaic wall depicting scenes of Parisian life. During summer guests can relax in the beer garden with a drink or snack- and the hotel is located in the same building as the T and M Club- the oldest gay nightspot in Zurich- offering dancing- live concerts and drag shows /this can cause noise pollution at night/. Multilingual staff on the front desk can provide information on the surrounding area and guests with laptops can hook up to the Internet via power plugs Internet- available throughout the hotel. Limited garage parking is available for a surcharge /28 CHF per day/. Many of the citys attractions are a short walk away- such as the lake and Kunsthaus Art Museum- and Uetliberg- two kilometers away- offers impressive views over the city.
