Fascinating and unique adventure hotel of art!
The Art-Fabrik Hotel was built up only a few years ago from the historical and landmarked house of the family Friedrich Engels, patronized by the Bethe foundation.
Our 140 rooms are all very spacious and comfortably equipped. Sixteen of these rooms feature sauna and 30 are categorized as studios, each individually designed by different painters or sculptors. This hotel is an exceptional venue in Europe offering a variety of artworks. We provide 12 conference rooms with capacity for up to 650 people.
Let yourself be spoiled with culinary specialities in the special atmosphere of our elegant restaurant, listening to the sounds of piano music. Experience the perfect symbiosis of music and art, visible in the furniture with its many exclusive creations of famous artists.
Our guests can make use of our business area including computers with free of charge access to the internet If you want to work in your accommodation, W-LAN connection is available.
Enjoy the relaxing atmosphere of our wellness centre (open from friday to sunday) that offers cosmetic treatments, any type of massages, as well as a delightful Persian Hammam with sauna, diving washbasins and tea-room.
For a pleasant leisure time entertainment here in Wuppertal, we warmly recommend you a tour with the suspension railway. Furthermore it is worthwhile to visit the Von-der-Heydt Museum, the zoo, the Waterworld Bergische Sonne and the near climbing park (300m away). |

 We had a spacious high ceilinged, warm room, beds and bedding excellent with a beautiful bathroom. Excellent shower. Very interesting selection of rooms and an interesting art hotel. Excellent value for money. We were given the choice of the best rooms for only €20 extra per night. |

 Corners of the carpets very dusty, grouting between the tiles in the bathroom had signs of fungus. Only one very slow lift. The food was all very over-salted. I would rate this hotel 3 star not 4. |

| I did not stay at Art Fabrik because it was full when we arrived so we were moved to Mercure Hotel. The discription applies to that hotel |

| We had to wait too long for check in at Art Fabrik, only one person taking care of everything wich meant that 30 people were wating for 1,5 hours to get a room at 23.30. We got to Mercure at 01:00. Some were not that lucky! |

| avoid this hotel at all cost. I paid 380 euro for a room that looked like an old east german youth hostel room. I have been in worse hotels, but that was in China. |
