The entrance hall is paved in dark coloured Pece stone and Modica stone of a warm yellow colour, both of which are typical of the Baroque of the Val di Noto. The 2 contrasting colours form a particular geometry, inspired by the ancient paving of the Sicilian convents and churches of the 1800's. Stopping a moment in the hall, you will perceive the place in a special way: the noises of the city are extinguished and you will feel the presence-absence of Syracuse and Sicily.
