The Schwarzwaldhotel
Sonnenhof is blessed with a sunny hillside location in the Menzenschwand
district. The health resort of St. Blasien is set in the southern Black Forest,
close to the nice lake
Schluchsee.
Enjoy your stay in

shower or bathtub, radio, telephone, TV and balcony. Some of the rooms feature
a lounge.
The hotel also offers a
medical spa area with massage practice, an indoor pool (6x12 m), a quiet

Within the beautiful
natural park by the hotel you will find a lodge for grill evenings, a
children’s playground and a small pond where you can fish. The cross-country
ski runs and the winter hiking trails are right opposite the building. The town
has several ski lifts, one of them free of charge and suitable for beginners
and children. There is a ski bus, which drives to the skiing arena in the
mountain Feldberg every day. |

The Pension Vogelbacher lies in the Kneipp spa resort of St. Blasien in the southern Black Forest, south of Lake Schluchsee in the Alb Valley. The municipality ranges from 600 m above sea level to the 1,349 m high Spießhorn.
Our 3 apartments and 12 double rooms are all very comfortable and come equipped with en-suite facilities, a hair-dryer and a radio. The balconies offer wonderful views of the Alb countryside. We are happy to reserve a non-smoking room for you.
Furthermore, the Pension Vogelbacher also offers a restaurant seating 50 persons, a small wine bar and a cosy fireside room for 20 persons. There is also a partially-covered terrace, a barbecue grill and a lawn area ideal for sunbathing, as well as plenty of space for children to play. Our restaurant is available for celebrations with up to 60 persons.
A visit to the romantic Alb Valley promises rest and relaxation any time of the year. Around 100 km of hiking trails are waiting to be discovered. The surrounding area offers various possibilities for day trips, including the Europapark theme park in Rust, Freiburg im Breisgau, various swimming pools and thermal baths, as well as the impressive 3rd largest domed church in Europe, which makes its mark on the townscape of St. Blasien. |

Hospitality has been a tradition for about 100 years, when the first tourists came to explore the southern part of the “Black Forest”.
Due to a lot of sunshine and a mild climate especially in autumn and winter, our region is an ideal location for a holiday.
Our hotel has 40 comfortable and cosy rooms most of them have a balcony.
There are also 2 Junior Suites and an apartment available.
We have smoker and non-smoker rooms and an elevator.
Our breakfast buffet offers local products as well as a choice of whole food.
In “Porten´s Spa” you will find a wellness area with lots of facilities such as indoor pool, Roman steam bath, whirlpool, light therapy, gym and two bowling alleys.
There is also a possibility to book massage and health care programmes. For this purpose you may bring a prescription issued by your General Practitioner.
The new and recently opened spa “Vital und Aktiv Quelle” in Hotel Fernblick is an excellent place for rest and relaxation.
