Our small, family-run bed and breakfast hotel Zum Weinkrug is located in the historic centre of the Lower Franconian municipality Sommerhausen. It is directly on the Right Bank of the Main River and presents many cultural offers like viticulture and the Torturmtheater, Sommerhaus Theatre and numerous galleries to name a few.
We offer 15 comfortable rooms which are provided with shower, toilet, hair dryer, TV and telephone. Most of them also have free DSL internet access which is safer and faster than WLAN. You only need to plug in the network cable (available in rooms with DSL access) for your laptop and you are online!
Our guests may stock up on energy with the copious breakfast buffet which we serve every morning. We offer excellent ecological products like unpacked and packed whole-grain bread, not less than 7 sorts of tea (including black tea, green tea, Rooibos, peppermint, fruit tea, herb tea, Darjeeling), margarine, butter, fresh milk, fruit yogurt, natural yogurt, jam, nut nougat cream, cereals, cornflakes, flax seed, cream cheese and soft cheese as well as 1 sort of sliced cheese.
We shall be pleased to arrange for theatre tickets, wine tastings, taxi or to suggest hiking and cycle tours. We also may lend maps and charts free of charge.

Hotel in Höchberg: The guesthouse Lamm dates back to the year 1732 and was already then well-known for its hospitality and good cuisine. In 1982, after rebuilding and modernisation, the building was converted into the HOTEL ZUM LAMM, with adjoining large underground parking. With the extension, the property was formed into a square with a beautiful courtyard.
Experience Franconian hospitality and friendly atmosphere of the Minotel Zum Lamm. Our excellent service, well-trained staff and exceptional atmosphere make you feel comfortable and special. Try the traditional cuisine that our chef Wolfgang Imhof will prepare with local seasonal and fresh products. A wide range of wines and special offers from well-known winemakers can be recommended. The towers of the different cathedrals and churches along with the old Main Bridge and the mighty fort of Marienberg form the image of the city. Pieces of art of various artists such as Tilman Riemenschneider, Balthasar Neumann and Tiepolo can be found in many places of interest, for example: the Episcopal residence, the prominent building of the baroque era, which was declared a World Heritage Site by the UNESCO, and in the famous Käppele. The city of Würzburg offers plenty of cultural events and highlights, for example: the Africa festival, the Mozart festival and the “Bach” days.
Enjoy a tour through one of the most famous vineyards. There are wine festivals the whole year round in different places of the city, many of them arranged in a medieval way.
An ample net of cycle trails is available. The Romantic Street leads from Würzburg over Höchberg to Rothenburg, passing the hotel, and further to Füssen.
