Our Hotel Auerhahn offers you all-year-round comfort where you can relax in a wonderful location in the immediate vicinity of Rennsteig. We are a family-run establishment offering a cosy atmosphere and original Thuringian cuisine. Our Auerhahn restaurant will treat you with specialities from the Thuringian Forest.

In the winter months we invite you to go skiing and to visit our atmospheric “Baudenabend” evenings with music and dancing in our Rennsteigkeller cellar bar or in the event hall Masserberger Musikanten-Scheune (Masserberg musician’s barn). You can also book skiing lessons at the hotel.

In spring and autumn our establishment is an ideal starting point for hiking and bicycle tours as well as the new trend of Nordic walking with professional guidance. In the summer months you can take advantage of our health facilities and forget your everyday stress in Masserberg’s bath house.
