The two centuries old, Monkey Island Hotel is picturesquely
set on its own private island making it an unusual venue for all kinds of
occasions. Located in the middle of the River Thames, near the village of
Bray-on-Thames, Maidenhead, the hotel is accessed only by footbridge or boat.
Accommodation is located in the Temple building,
reassuringly removed from the hustle and bustle of the dining and bar areas.
Most rooms have a stunning garden panorama, with three Terrace rooms boasting
their own private river view terrace or patio. All rooms have en-suite
bathrooms with bath, shower and amenities like television, hair dryer,
telephone and internet access.
The three private dining rooms offer our guests privacy and
our front of house team provide a discreet and personalized service. Under the
creative direction of our executive Chef, the Pavilion Restaurant has
maintained its Rosette Award since 2001 and continues to exceed the
expectations of our guests. Monkey Island is suitable for both formal and
informal dining, giving our clients the greatest of flexibility to create the
ideal impression.
Superbly located on the banks of the River Thames, Monkey
Island provides a picturesque setting for your wedding ceremony and reception.
Both the Temple and pavilion buildings are Grade 1 listed, dating back from the
early 1700's. Much of the original architecture and elegant decor still remains
giving you a unique, interesting and memorable venue in which to celebrate one
of the most important days of your life. |
