A few years ago, the main square of the university city of Leoben was redesigned by the famous architect Boris Podrecca. The beautiful houses at the square create a marvelous scenery for the cafés and beer gardens. Besides the small streets in the centre, the church is also worth a visit.

Please don’t forget about Leoben as home to the famous Austrian beer ´Gösser´; the local brewery is open to the public.

The hotel is also located close to the Austrian Murradweg - a well known cycling track - which criss-crosses its way through Austria. Cycling fans are always welcome.

The Styrian Erz Mountain with its mine open to the public is one of the main attractions in the surrounding area, within 30 min away from Leoben. The mountain got its pyramid form from the opencast pit. Sightseeing tours into the mountain and to its terraces are offered. Nowadays, the mountain is often used for concerts or biker meetings.
