The “Romantik Hotel Waxenstein“ is located in a sunny hillside situation above the “Zugspitz” mountain village Grainau, which is 2km west of Garmisch-Partenkirchen.

Room was very comfortable, and the overall setting was excellent.
Breakfast was excellent, but we were not inclined to dine in the restaurant in the evening because it was more formal than we were expecting. This was not really a negative but rather not our preference.
