The town of
Ballenstedt,
which can look back on a past full of history, is nestled within the beautiful
countryside between the forest mountains of the Unterharz. The Schlosshotel
Ballenstedt Van der Valk, which makes part of the old castle opposite the
historic theatre, was opened in the 18th century for the guests of
the royal house. Later, in 1996-1997, the establishment was demolished and
after its complete reconstruction it glistens in its renewed splendour.
This
four-star hotel provides all comforts you would expect. Its 50 rooms and suites
have been arranged with a lot of love for the detail and come with luxurious
bathrooms and modern amenities, such as radio, TV, WLAN, mini bar and
hair-dryer. Exclusive, stylish furniture, harmonious colours and elegant

The
restaurant Fürst Victor offers contemporary light cuisine and international

ideal for festive occasions. The winter garden is the perfect venue to escape
from everyday life and sip a long drink in winter as well, while enjoying the
Mediterranean flair.

walking tours, carriage rides in the romantic Selke valley, cultural and
historical highlights, such as a visit of the Falkenstein castle, the town of Quedlinburg or the
